Privacy Policy

BoomBuy (boombuy.in and the BoomBuy Android app, package in.boombuy.app) is an independent deal-discovery service for shoppers in India. We list deals from third-party online stores. We do not sell products, take payments or handle delivery.

BoomBuy has no accounts or sign-in. We do not ask for or collect your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos or payment details.

Website: basic aggregated usage information such as page visits and click activity may be used to improve the platform and understand deal performance.

Android app: we use Google Firebase services that collect (a) device or app-instance identifiers, including the Firebase installation ID and the Firebase Cloud Messaging token used to deliver notifications; (b) app activity such as deals viewed, taps on the Buy button and search terms you enter; and (c) crash logs and diagnostic information (device model, Android version, app version) from Firebase Crashlytics.

Saved deals, recent searches and the notification inbox are stored only on your device. They are not sent to us. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data removes them.

To show deals and keep the app working, to deliver deal notifications you have turned on, to fix crashes and bugs, and to understand which features and deals are useful so we can improve the service.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for advertising profiles. The app contains no third-party advertising SDKs.

We use Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics and Cloud Messaging) as a service provider. Google processes the data described above on our behalf under its own terms and privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy; firebase.google.com/support/privacy).

Data sent over the network is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).

The Android app asks for permission before sending notifications. We send a small number of curated deal notifications per day during daytime hours. You can turn deal alerts off in the app (Account) or in your phone's system settings at any time.

When you tap Buy on a deal, the store's own app or website opens. Some links are affiliate links: BoomBuy may earn a commission on qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

BoomBuy is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any store listed. External retailers operate under their own privacy policies, which you should review separately. Prices and availability are set by the stores and can change at any time.

You can turn notifications off, clear the app's data or uninstall the app at any time. To ask us to delete data associated with your device (for example your Firebase installation ID), email [email protected] from the device owner's email address and describe the request; we will respond within a reasonable time.

Analytics and crash data held by Firebase is retained according to Google's Firebase retention settings and is not linked to a name or email address by us.

BoomBuy is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

On the website, essential cookies or similar mechanisms may be used where needed to keep the platform functioning correctly.

Reasonable steps are taken to protect information the platform holds, but no internet-based system can guarantee absolute security.

If you join Telegram or WhatsApp channels linked from BoomBuy, those platforms govern messaging data under their own policies.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date below shows the latest revision, and material changes will be reflected here.
